Ucluelet sits at the end of the Ucluelet Peninsula on the west coast of Vancouver Island, about 40 minutes south of Tofino on Highway 4. Ucluelet tends to be less crowded than Tofino and slightly more affordable — a great alternative base for exploring Pacific Rim. Storm watching from November to March is spectacular.
